This is the eleventh volume in the complete proceedings of the Nuremberg trial of the German major war criminals before the International Military Tribunal sitting at Nuremberg, Germany.
Taken from the original court transcript this volume covers the proceedings from 5th April to 15th April, 1946 and represents an essential primary source for scholars and general readers alike. The transcripts are complete and contain the whole of the proceedings as taken from the original court documents.
This volume covers the trial of Alfred Rosenberg, one of the very first members of the Nazi party. By the onset of the war Rosenberg had risen to a position of prominence within the party and had had some influence in shaping the ideology of the Nazis. This volume also includes the case against Ernst Kaltenbrunner, the most senior figure of the SS to face trial and the head of the SD, a man who personally ordered many of the atrocities committed during the war. Additionally, this volume also covers the cross-examination of Wilhelm Keitel, who was head of the German Armed Forces.
Perhaps the most infamous of those involved with the Nuremberg Trial was Rudolf Hoess, the camp commandant at Auschwitz, notorious for the sheer amount of people who were murdered under his period of tenure. He was a fanatical Nazi, and when charged with the deaths of 3,500,000 people, he denied it, replying "No. Only two and one half million – the rest died from disease and starvation.” Hoess formed part of the case of Kaltenbrunner, acting as a witness.

What do you say. It's the complete transcripts if you buy all of them. Endlessly fascinating.
It seems that almost everyone has an opinion on the war trials...the culpability, responsibility, fairness and justice of the trials and all without ever having read the proceedings other than a line here and there. How can one even form a reasonable opinion without reading them?
Here they all are at a reasonable cost so to me, if you want to form an opinion and or comment on them, there is no excuse for not reading them.
I read them all and was struck by the patent unfairness of the proceedings. New legal concepts were specifically created to ensure that there was little or no chance of escape for the individuals selected to represent various agencies of the Third Reich. The whole process smelled of the victor's self righteous interpretation of justice. eg Some defences were specifically not allowed ( as in "you did it too") and the judicial bias is very evident on some of the trials.
